A rare opportunity to hear the Duke of Devonshire talk about the history and treasures of his ancestral home, Chatsworth, and his plans for the future.
Stoker Devonshire and his wife, Amanda, have been collectors for the last 40 years. Since they moved to Chatsworth in 2006 they have developed the exhibitions programme extensively and commissioned many works of both fine art and design.
Chatsworth has passed through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. Renowned for the quality of its art, today it contains works spanning 4,000 years, from ancient Roman and Egyptian sculpture to masterpieces by Rembrandt, and work by outstanding modern artists.
