Ferio Saxophone Quartet is a young and exciting chamber ensemble. The talented musicians, who met at the Royal College of Music, are emerging as one of the leading British saxophone quartets, receiving enthusiastic reactions from audiences and critics.
Winners of the 2015 Royal Overseas League Ensemble Competition, Ferio Saxophone Quartet has a commitment to breaking new ground and is delighting audiences with a repertoire that includes original works and transcriptions of familiar works by prominent classical composers.
This evening’s programme brings many delights, including arrangements from Jean-Baptiste Singelée, one of the earliest composers for the saxophone, and the modern-day excitement and distinct style of Michael Nyman.
